This Ave Maria (“Solo de Soprano”) in B flat major is one of few Ave Marias Offenbach composed. He wrote the melody and the first bar of the accompaniment with the remark “réplique”. He dedicated this beautiful work to a Mademoiselle Nina. It is believed that the work was composed in 1865.
